Change at the helm for ITOPF
ITOPF announces the retirement of its Managing Director, Dr Karen Purnell, on 31st December 2021 after serving some 27 years with the company. Karen hands the reins to Oli Beavon, a seasoned leader with diverse experience gained over nearly three decades with BP.
“More oil, less spills” - Opening of exhibition marking 50 years of government and industry cooperation
An exhibition charting 50 years of cooperation between government and industry for the safe transport of oil by sea was opened on Monday 16th January at the headquarters of the IMO.

ITOPF is collaborating with IMO, the IOPC Funds and other industry organisations to produce an exhibition to mark the achievements of the international community over the past 50 years to achieve a dramatic and sustained reduction in major oil spills
An exchange programme for oil spill response officers was held in Shanghai, China under IMO’s Integrated Technical Cooperation Programme (ITCP)
ITOPF’s China Liaison Officer, Rose Ying, attended the 7th China Oil Transportation Safety Forum on 8th November in Dalian
