ITOPF contributes to Witt O'Briens seminar in Athens, Greece

The service ITOPF provides to its member shipowners varies between each case it works on and demonstrating the full breadth of its role helps its members to understand its areas of expertise and counsel they have available to them.

ITOPF attended a Witt O’Briens Athens seminar in Athens, Greece where it went into detail on this topic as it engaged with regional and international shipowners and maritime stakeholders at this event.

Represented by Philip Ruck, ITOPF presented on its role in marine pollution response, and showcased the extent of itss experience responding to pollution incidents in the USA over the last 50 years. This included demonstrating how ITOPF integrates into the Incident Command Systems (ICS) during a spill response in the USA.

The event was attended by approximately 200 local shipowner members and also featured updates from Witt O’Briens on regulations in the USA and an in-depth case study on the DALI incident which occurred in Baltimore last year.
