This week, ITOPF will be participating in EcoCanal 2015, the annual exercise jointly organised by the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) and the US National Response Team (NRT) as part of the NRT - ACP Memorandum of Agreement. This two day exercise will simulate a major maritime incident occurring with the Panama Canal, and will focus on notification to the U.S. NRT and the establishment of an Incident Command Post. ITOPF will be giving a presentation on the training day that is taking place the day before the exercise. Representatives from a number of Panamanian Ministries and Authorities will also be taking part.
