ITOPF has responded to more than 800 incidents involving oil or chemical spills worldwide. Our highly skilled international team are ready to assist 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide impartial technical advice.
We operate on a not-for-profit basis and provide a wide range of technical services to promote effective response in the marine environment to back up our core role of responding to ship-sourced spills. Our five key services are spill response, claims analysis & damage assessment, contingency planning, training & education and information.

ITOPF is growing and we are looking for a new team member to join us in the following role:
As a key part of the technical team at ITOPF, this role supports our involvement in the preparation and response to pollution. The primary function of the role is to review and assess claims for the costs of response and pollution damage. You will also support the team to maintain our knowledge of pollution response equipment, including development of our resource database.
You will need a degree in a STEM subject, strong IT skills, excellent interpersonal skills and fluency in English. Relevant practical experience of pollution response resources, claims and fluency in additional languages are desirable.
