Oil Spill Response Limited and ITOPF are co-hosting a forum to consider the latest review of India's National Oil Spill Disaster Contingency Plan (NOSDCP) on Wednesday 19th March 2014 in Mumbai, with a particular focus on the potential option of forming an Indian Oil Spill Response Organisation (OSRO).
This seminar builds on a successful event held in November 2013 in New Delhi on government and industry collaboration, which will need to be at the heart of any future plans for an Indian OSRO.
While the New Delhi seminar focused on response to oil spills at sea, this seminar will place particular emphasis on the approaches to coordination of the offshore and shoreline response operations. Participation of members of Coastal Administrations would be particularly welcome.
Distinguished speakers have been invited to present from a variety of perspectives both Government and Industry including Deputy Inspector General AA Hebbar, TM Director (Environment), Indian Coast Guard who will lead the discussion relating to the latest review of India's National Oil spill Disaster Contingency Plan.
