Karen Purnell attended the 31st Annual Shipping Conference and Exhibition "Local talent, global impact" hosted by the Connecticut Maritime Association from 21-23 March 2016. The event attracted over 2000 participants and featured international experts speaking on a range of issues affecting shipping and trade markets. Karen joined colleagues from the UK P&I Club at their stand in the exhibition area and took the opportunity to raise awareness of ITOPF's activities and meet many of our Members and Associates.
Karen also attended the Shipping Awards Gala Dinner at which ITOPF's Chairman and CEO of Euronav NV, Paddy Rodgers, was named as CMA Commodore of the year, an award given to a shipping executive who has demonstrated leadership, vision and commitment to the maritime industry.
