National workshop on liability and compensation, Nigeria, 5-6 September 2017

ITOPF is one of the trainers at the <link http: www.giwacaf.net en external-link-new-window external link in new>GI-WACAF national workshop on liability and compensation, hosted by the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA). The objectives of the workshop are to:

• provide training to relevant national authorities on the scope and implementation of IMO Conventions related to liability and compensation in case of an oil spill;
• provide appropriate solutions regarding claims and development of national policies for effective compensation;
• provide information on the role of organisations involved in liability and compensation, such as IOPC Funds, ITOPF and the P&I Clubs.
