ITOFP hosts Malaysian Marine Department in London

ITOPF welcomed delegates from the Malaysian Marine Department to its London office, with Norjipin Bin Saidi, Director of Safety, Security and Marine Environment and Syahrizan Bin Jili, Principle Assistant Director, meet with members of its Technical Team and where they discussed ongoing cooperation around preparedness for oil, Hazardous Noxious Substances (HNS) and alternative fuel pollution incidents.

This visit follows a series of collaborative events hosted between the two organisations, where ITOPF has conducted regular training workshops with Malaysian authorities, including key representatives from the Marine Department and the Department of Environment. This meeting led to further discussions around training sessions covering many aspects of marine pollution response and the future opportunities both organisations have to continue their working relationship.
