ITOPF presents at the 2021 Petrobras Climate Congress

ITOPF was invited to present virtually at the 2021 Petrobras Climate Congress which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 8th November 2021. ITOPF Technical Adviser Conor Bolas gave a 30-minute presentation focusing on the WAKASHIO incident in 2020. He highlighted key aspects of the case, including the sensitivity of the environment in Mauritius, the spill of low sulfur fuel oil and the incident’s occurrence during the Covid-19 pandemic. The presentation attracted many questions and strong engagement from the audience of over a hundred attendees.
