Dr Angela Pinzón holds a BSc in Microbiology, an MSc in Analytical Chemistry, an MSc in Chemistry, and a PhD in Environmental Sciences. She is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Environmental Chemistry (SETAC). She has previously worked on projects aimed at linking the chemistry and toxicity of oil refining waste and evaluating low-cost clean-up methods, on chemical diversity in marine organisms, and the recovery of coral populations in the Caribbean. She also has extensive experience as a scientific translator (English-Spanish-English). Angela joined ITOPF in 2019.
